The inaugural SCF Athletics Golf Classic kicks off the weekend at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, at Bradenton Country Club, 4646 9th Ave. West. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. The classic includes a four-person scramble golf tournament with dinner following the event.
The event is open to the public.
Registration is $125 per person; $470 for four people. Dinner is included. Sponsorship opportunities range from $100 to $3,000.

For 65 years the South Florida Museum has worked hard housing the wondrous collections,like ancient fossils, human artifacts, beautiful sea shells and precious stones. Explore the museum, collect objects, and create your own museum in a box!
The Museum is open until 8 p.m. Admission is half price after 4 p.m.
The Rock Hall of Fame planetarium show runs from 8:15 to 9 p.m.
